John Sadowski is a Senior Attorney with Contreras Edin and Associates, P.A., representing clients in criminal and immigration matters. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in history and theology from Loyola University Chicago, and his Juris Doctrate from Hamline University School of Law. Mr. Sadowski is passionate about zealously representing his clients and giving voice to the voiceless.
Mr. Sadowski has over ten years of experience representing individuals charged with all types of crimes. Prior to joining Contreras Edin and Associates, P.A. Mr. Sadowski worked for the Ramsey County Public Defender’s office, where he represented thousands of individuals in all criminal matters. He has extensive courtroom and trial experience representing clients accused of domestic assault, DWI, criminal sexual conduct, homicide, and basic driving offenses, among others. Previously, Mr. Sadowski served as a judicial law clerk in Ramsey County.
During his undergraduate studies, Mr. Sadowski studied history in Rome, Italy. In 2014, Mr. Sadowski was a Legislative Fellow with Partners of the Americas, a program of the U.S. State Department that connects professionals from throughout North and South America, the Caribbean and Latin America. During that time, Mr. Sadowski studied criminal and civil law in Porto Alegre and Bage, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil.
Mr. Sadowski serves on the board for Criminal Defense Services, Inc., a non profit dedicated to providing low cost legal representation for criminal defendants. He is a volunteer baseball coach for Highland-Groveland Recreation and Highland Ball. In his free time, Mr. Sadowski enjoys coaching kids teams, being in the outdoors fishing or hiking and playing music. He lives in St. Paul with his wife and two children.
